Review: Sketch
Sketch by Laramie Briscoe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
**** April's Review **** 5 Dreams and Screams
I received Sketch written by Laramie Briscoe from Dreams and Screams Bookaholic for an honest review
My name is Devin, but everybody calls me Sketch. I opened my own tattoo shop two years ago, and I’ve finally gotten to the point where I’m going to be able to give my wife everything she’s ever wanted. I’m going to be able to take time off and spend a day a week with her. In fact, tonight, I stopped and grabbed some wine, got her flowers, and those chocolates she likes.
What I wasn’t prepared for was to be met at the front door by her carrying her stuff out.
She loves me, but she’s not in love with me anymore. What kind of excuse is that? I’ve left her alone too often, I’ve been completely focused on one goal, and apparently she’s sick of waiting.
So while I was busy making a better life for us, she was under the impression I was leaving her lonely. I know one day she’ll see what I’ve been doing has been for us, and when that day comes… She'll come crawling back to me.
This is the first book I’ve read from author Laramie Briscoe but definitely will not be the last one last. Sketch is a story of not only second chances but a story of hope and about learning to love again. I loved Nina and Sketch’s story. It reminded me that not all relationships are easy and that some grow and change throughout the years but it’s up to you on how to to make it grow with the one the one that you love. I can't wait to read more from her.
***** Trish's 5 Star Review ***** 5 Dreams and Screams
This book is about a family where one thinks everything is ok with them and the other feels like they have been forgotten about. When Nina decides to leave Sketch and wants a divorce. Sketch is devastated. Little did he know that things from their past was events that was set in motion by a family member. When these two decide to work on themselves and then see what it will take to mend their family back together. It will be a lot of hard work and dedication on both parts. Will these to be able to prove people wrong and come out the other side better than ever?
