Review: Embracing Emma
Embracing Emma by Leigh Ann Lunsford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
***** April's 5 Star Review ***** 5 Dreams and Screams
William Jacobs was chosen—adopted at a young age and thrust into a lifestyle he knew nothing about. Emma Nichols was the girl next door . . . his atlas in the turbulent life he had to navigate.
In their small town, beliefs vary and hatred can take the forefront.
She sees things as they are: right and wrong—black or white. He looks at all abstracts of life trying to find the easiest path.
Their lives are connected in every facet. Family, school, love . . . they don’t know where one begins and the other ends, and it’s just the way they like it. Tragedy, hatred, loss, and distance threaten them, but those things won’t tear them apart.
One night, something unforgivable happens. They find themselves on the same side fighting opposite battles. She can’t erase the pain, and he can’t right his wrongs, but he’ll die trying to avenge the act of violence and make her see the truth.
Emma Nicole & Will Jacobs are amazing characters that you will fall in love with. You watch them grow throughout the book, discovering that life is not always is. You feel what they feel, and believe me you'll feel some heartache. You will also feel love that they both have for each other. In Embracing Emma you will relived the pain of how Alzheimer’s can affect a close connected family like this one. My heart broke for this family as they had to deal with losing a love one. Embracing Emma basically teaches you that love has no rules. You embrace it and learn as you go. I love every aspect of Embracing Emma the life lessons will be treasured and the healing process will begin. As always I am left in awe by the talent Leigh Ann Lunsford. Incredible and Unforgettable as always. Five stars guaranteed. Wish I could give it more than a 5 star.
