Review: The Hobgoblin Queen

The Hobgoblin Queen The Hobgoblin Queen by Anna B. Madrise
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is a great adventure story. Mundane Bergamot is a witch, a Kitchen Witch to be exact. While heading out to the town of New Taleggia, her party stops at the home of Javen, a Book Mage. While there, she is given a book and that is what starts her adventure. She’s on a mission to collect all of the stones needed to add to her pendant. She has two hobgoblins that are assisting her on her journey. As she collects the stones, she changes. She becomes a hobgoblin as well. It is not an easy journey, she has to watch out for the King of New Taleggia, who wants the hobgoblins power and will do anything to get it.
This is a great adventure story, Mundane has a great support system. She has her Aunt Dovie, Javen, the hobgoblins, and the rest of the kitchen witches of Nettlespire. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes YA adventure stories. I can’t wait to read The Wrath of the King next!!
